Dragons Know Energy
Dragons are the intersection between feelings and movement (e-motion). They are feelings in motion.
If your child is very sensitive or has big, big emotions, they will be given a new set of tools and materials for noticing, identifying and knowing, and expressing themselves.
With artistic expression and nature gathering, along with dramatic play and movement exercises, we will learn new ways to express our feelings and energy.
How Dragons Can Help
Caring for our Dragon
A dragon is a living thing so we need to care for it. How much rest does our dragon need? How much activity? What does it wish to eat and how much nourishment is the right amount? In this part, we explore all the needs of our dragon and how we can best care for it.
Exploring Energy
Campers explore what happens with a storm moves through your dragon - when it feels so much energy it doesn’t know what to do. Or fire moves through it. Or deep dark water. Or a bunch of bees. What is it like when things are challenging or a lot? Let's find out.
Creating the Story
Campers create something that can be shared with family and friends. We take all that we have learned and tell our Dragon’s story. This may be a picture book, a written story, a spoken story, a video performance, or a movement story captured in photographs or a video.
Fun Video Lessons
David and Meredith have lots of fun in the video tutorials, but both are skilled teachers with decades of experience
Clear Workbook Exercises
The daily workbook exercises are illustrated step by step requiring minimum parent involvement. There are also audio versions.
Sharing with Others
Campers are encouraged to share the lessons and activities with their family or group of friends, giving them a chance to be the teachers!

HOW IS THE CURRICULUM STRUCTURED?
- Our Dragon Campers are given 4 recordings that guide them through creative ways to explore their dragon selves and to create a Dragon Story. The videos last an average of 30 minutes, but there are clearly indicated pauses throughout each video with activities. Children can take as many days as they need to get through a video.
- Our Campers are given projects that are fun and creative that they may complete in between sessions.
- Campers are also given downloadable pdfs with the activities.
CAN MY CHILD DO THE CAMP COMPLETELY ON THEIR OWN?
- Your child/student can watch the videos and complete the practice worksheets & projects on her own, however we recommend parent overview of the child's participation in the course.
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT FOR THIS COURSE?
- There are pre-recorded videos for each session and optional creative enrichment activities to do in between. The time commitment is up to you!
DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE ABLE TO READ & WRITE TO PARTICIPATE?
- No! All activities will be explained in video format.
